On 21 January 2015, the Council of State Professor Title (CSPT) announced the Decision No. 06/QD-HDCDGSNN recognizing 59 professors and 585 associate professors to meet the title standards of Professor and Associate Professor in 2014.  On 04 February 2015, at the Temple of Literature-Imperial Academy (Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam, Ha Noi), the CSPT organised the ceremony announcing the Decision and awarding the certificates of title standard recognization to the professors and associate professors of the whole country. The increased number of professors and associate professors is a good sign for the country's science.

The Institute of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology Quy Nhon (IMPE Quy Nhon) has gloriously had two new associate professors to be honoured in this occasion, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Director and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Hoang, Deputy Director. Thus, up to now, IMPE Quy Nhon has had three associate professors honored by the State, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trieu Nguyen Trung; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chuong and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Van Hoang.

In 2014, there were 822 candidates submitted their registration papers to be considered meeting the standard of professor and associate professor title, of which 92 candidates have registered for professor title and 730 for associate professor title. The approval resutts of CSPT have showed 59 candidates qualified for professor title (accounting for 64.13%) and 585 candidates recognized as associate professors (making up 80.14%).
