Competition of excellent laboratory technicians in testing malaria parasites in Central Vietnam 2015
On 11 December 2015, the Institute of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology Quy Nhon (IMPE Quy Nhon) held "The competition of excellent laboratory technicians in testing malaria parasites in Central Vietnam 2015" in order to improve the laboratory technicians' knowledge of and practice in malaria paraste detection, at the same time this is an opportunity for the technician in Central Vietnam to exchange and learn experience from each other. The competition of excellent laboratory technicians in testing malaria parasites in Central Vietnam 2015 aims to improve the knowledge of and practice in testing malaria parasites. Participants to the competition included the leaderships of IMPE-Quy Nhon, leaderships of the malaria control centers/centres for preventive medicine, and 52 competitors from 13 provinces in Central Vietnam (Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak ). Each province had appointed 4 technicians representing 4 levels of healthcare, including provincial malaria control center/provincial centre for preventive medicine: one person, provincial general hospital: one person, district preventive medicine center/district medical center: one person, commune microscope point/regional clinic: one person. The competition of excellent laboratory technicians in testing malaria parasites in Central Vietnam 2015 has achieved great success in accordance with the competition contents. The results of the competition have showed the positive direction of the Institute leadership, the facilitation of the leaders of the participating units and the enthusiastic participation of the contestants.
On behalf of the competition organization board, Assoc.
