Vietnam eliminates lymphatic filariasis (02/25/2019)

In October 2018, the World Health Organization announced that Vietnam has successfully eliminated lymphatic filariasis as a public health problem. o­n January 17, the Government of Vietnam held a celebration in Hanoi to commemorate the elimination of lymphatic filariasis as a public health problem.


Training on making malaria elimination plan for leaders of 15 malaria control centres/centers for preventive medicine in Central region and West-Highlands (11/29/2018)

With financial support of World Health Organization (WHO), the National institute of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology (NIMPE) and the Institute of Malariology, Parasitology and Entomology Quy nhon (IMPE-QN) coordinated to hold the workshop "Training o­n Malaria Elimination for leaders of Centers for Disease Control/ Preventive Medicine/ Malaria Control in Central region and West-Highlands"


Workshop on assessment of malaria elimination results and surveillance system in Central Vietnam in 2017 (01/02/2018)

On 12th and 13th December 2017, the IMPE-Quy Nhon held the workshop o­n "Assessment of malaria elimination results and surveillance system in Central Vietnam in 2017."


Community advised to keep vigilant on dengue although dengue infections fall nationwide (11/06/2017)

According to the department, from October 30-November 5, as many as 2,744 dengue cases were reported across the country, down 17.9 percent over the previous week, without fatality.


Likely increase of dengue fever as rain continues (10/23/2017)

Experts are warning against an outbreak of dengue fever and hand-foot-mouth disease as wet weather continues.
