Các công trình nghiên cứu về chẩn đoán và điều trị bệnh giun đũa chó/ mèo ở người do Toxocara canis/ Toxocara cati
Trong số các bệnh lý truyền từ động vật lây sang người, nhất là từ chó và mèo nuôi thì bệnh do nhiễm ấu trùng giun đũa chó mèo vẫn còn đang rất thời sự và đang được nhiều giới khoa học quan tâm do nhiều lý do: (i) Sự phân bố về mặt dịch tễ học và yếu tố nguy cơ chua được đánh giá một cách toàn diện và đầy đủ; (ii) Các triệu chứng, khung chẩn đoán, định nghĩa ca bệnh và điều trị vẫn còn nhiều điều bàn luận và chưa thống nhất giữa các quốc gia; (iii) Sự phối hợp liên ngành thú y và y tế trong kiểm soát bệnh tật vẫn còn nang giải và chưa được quan tâm, nên gánh nặng bệnh tật còn rất cao.
