WHO ESR is recruiting an Emergency Response to Artemisinin Resistance Programme Consultant to provide technical support to the Government of Viet Nam and its partners in implementing the Viet Nam component of the Emergency Response to Artemisinin Resistance-Greater Mekong Sub region (ERAR-GMS) programme, including international cross border activities. The consultant will be based in Ho Chi Minh City.
With a view to enhancing the effectiveness of the prevention and control of medical insects in general and malaria vectors in particular in Central Vietnam, updating the information and improving technical skills for entomologic staff, the IMPE-Quy Nhon hold the training course on malaria vector control skills in 2013 for entomologic staff of the provincial malaria control centres/provincial centres for preventive medicine in 15 provinces of Central Vietnam.
On 17-18 August, 2012, the Workshop on Reviewing Helminthiasis Control in the period 2006-2011 and Deploying the Workplan for the period 2012-2015 was organized in Do Son, Hai Phong city.
Under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), the IMPE-Quy Nhon held the training course on Diagnostic Test of Helminthiasis for medical staff of provincial malaria centres/centers for preventive medicine and some provincial general hospitals of 11 Central - Western Highland provinces (Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam).
Under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), the IMPE-Quy Nhon held the training course on Diagnostic Test of Helminthiasis for medical staff of 10 provinces of Central Vietnam from 9 to 12 August 2011.
