Một số ấn phẩm về bệnh lây truyền từ động vật sang người do virus, vi khuẩn, đơn báo và ký sinh trùng (Phần 1)

Theo Tổ chức Y tế thế giới khu vực Tây Thái Bình Dương (WPRO) có hơn 200 bệnh lây truyền từ động vật sang người (zoonoses) được mô tả và có thể được phân loại theo dạng và tác nhân gây bệnh, như vi khuẩn, vi-rút, ký sinh trùng, nấm hay các tác nhân truyền nhiễm khác.

Những bệnh này là mối đe dọa đối với y tế công cộng, mặc dù phần lớn bệnh từ động vật có thể phòng tránh được, vẫn có nhiều bệnh chưa được hệ thống y tế quốc gia và quốc tế ưu tiên giải quyết và được gọi là những “bệnh bị lãng quên” (neglected diseases).
