Thương tổn do bệnh vảy nến cần phân biệt với các bệnh ký sinh trùng
Về mặt thực hành lâm sàng dường như có thể dễ dàng chẩn đoán bệnh vảy nến trên các bệnh nhân, tuy nhiên các giai đoạn sớm thì một số thầy thuốc lâm sàng vẫn có thể nhầm lẫn bệnh lý da do vảy nến với một số bệnh ngoài da khác, bao gồm cả căn bệnh thương tổn da do ký sinh trùng, đặc biệt là viêm da do ấu trùng giun sán (cercarial dermatitis). Ngoài ra, một số tiến bộ gần đây trong nghiên cứu đã cho thấy nhiều thành quả trong điều trị và kiểm soát tốt bệnh vảy nến.
